From former slaughterhouse to cultural centre
Located at the heart of the revitalised Slagterigrunden in Holstebro, Slagteriet has become a key cultural destination within an area undergoing a remarkable transformation. What once served as a large industrial slaughterhouse site now hosts creative communities, workshops, and events, all framed by the site’s preserved industrial structures and its distinctive architectural character.

To support the centre’s continuous use throughout the year, DAMPA supplied 650 metres of Heat, delivered in the MH2 configuration, where each heating unit consists of two parallel panels. This format ensures an efficient heating performance while maintaining a refined, linear expression that aligns naturally with the raw and characterful interior of the building.

The Heat panels were installed throughout key areas of the cultural center, including the main communal spaces, entrance and hospitality zones, workshop-related circulation areas, and adjacent service areas. These spaces accommodate a wide range of activities, where reliable and evenly distributed heating is a vital part of the overall experience.

Visually, the slim and unobtrusive form of Heat allows the panels to integrate seamlessly into the architectural framework of Slagteriet. The linear design complements the site’s industrial heritage, ensuring that the heating system supports the building’s functionality without competing with its existing identity.
