Public (Ferring-tower)

In Ørestad stands the Ferring Tower, an iconic building that has long housed the biopharma company. However, When Genesta Property Nordic took over the building, it needed an update. The developer and ACT Architects led the transformation, respecting the original architecture while creating a beautiful new narrative. The project combines robust natural materials with a design that enhances both functionality and aesthetics.

The building and its 19-story tower, now known as Public, have been transformed into a flexible, modern office environment that accommodates both small and large businesses.

Ceiling Solutions with Texture and Depth
For the Ferring-tower transformation, DAMPA supplied over 11,000 m² of DAMPA^® Hook-On Custom Tiles and DAMPA^® Bandraster. The solutions are made from galvanized steel with a clear lacquer, that highlight the material’s natural texture. The tiles are fitted with black acoustic felt, adding contrast and depth, while the special square perforation creates a lively surface pattern.

The result is a ceiling that supports the building’s architectural vision. The Ferring Tower transformation shows how thoughtful design can redefine and complement existing architecture.
