SIGMA Balancing Valves
SIGMA Compact DN15-DN50 is an externally adjustable, dynamic balancing valve with shut-off function, ensuring simple, precise and reliable flow limitation in both heating and cooling systems.
The valve is designed for efficient distribution of flow to multiple parts of the system and can be used in systems with both variable and constant flow. At the same time, it can replace traditional balancing valves, contributing to a simpler and more streamlined system design.
The valve is easy to size and select, as the only required input is the desired flow rate. Installation and adjustment can be carried out directly on site, and the solution offers a high degree of flexibility if the system is modified after initial installation. The dynamic control prevents overflow and automatically ensures hydraulic balance – even in the event of pressure fluctuations within the system. This reduces the need for additional valves, as neither a main valve nor balancing valves on branch circuits are required.
SIGMA Compact significantly simplifies system balancing and reduces commissioning time, as the system is regulated automatically. The result is high operational reliability and optimal end-user comfort, as the system remains correctly balanced and the actual flow consistently matches the design flow.
The valve is equipped with a lockable handle, allowing the flow to be easily adjusted and maintained. The maximum flow position can be locked, enabling the valve to be reopened to the preset value after shut-off.
The shut-off function operates at differential pressures of up to 10 bar. A clear setting scale on the handle ensures easy reading, and integrated pressure test points for a needle system make measurement straightforward.
There are no requirements for straight pipe lengths before or after the valve, providing a high degree of installation flexibility.
With dynamic SIGMA valves, you achieve a modern, reliable solution that regulates the system dynamically – even under fluctuating pressure conditions. The number of valves in the installation is reduced, commissioning is faster, and there is full assurance that the set flow is the flow actually delivered by the system.

OPTIMIZER
OPTIMIZER 6-way solution ensures complete, pressure-independent control of 4-pipe systems.
The OPTIMIZER 6-way solution provides modulating control with full authority, independent of variations in the system’s differential pressure.
The OPTIMIZER consists of a pressure-independent OPTIMA Compact control valve with a 0-10 V modulating actuator for AC power supply and DC control signal, a 6-way valve with rotary actuator, and a control unit.
The OPTIMIZER 6-way solution can be used in 4-pipe systems, such as chilled ceilings and heating/cooling ceiling systems.

Advantages
- Only one BMS data point is required
- Energy savings through optimised pressure-independent flow limitation and control
- Modulating control of both heating and cooling
- Reduced time spent on selection and sizing, as only the flow rate and minimum differential pressure are required
- Full comfort without the need for rebalancing if the system is expanded during the installation phase
- Silent operation during modulation of heating and cooling
- Compact solution with minimal space requirements
- Individual or central room temperature control
- A safety function closes the modulating valve if the external input signal is lost
- The presetting function does not affect the stroke length. Full stroke modulation is maintained at all times, regardless of the preset flow rate.
- The constant differential pressure across the modulating control unit guarantees full authority.
- Dynamic control eliminates overflow, regardless of fluctuating pressure conditions within the system.
- Motorised on/off actuator for the 6-way valve and thermal 0-10 V modulating actuator with AC power supply and DC control signal for the dynamic motorised valve (PICV).
- High flow capacity at low differential pressure, thanks to the advanced valve design.
- High presetting accuracy thanks to the stepless analogue scale.
- A high Kvs value of the 6-way valve ensures minimal pressure loss.
- Automatic operation of the 6-way valve once a week.
- Control unit with 0-10 V DC feedback signal.

OPTIMA Compact
The OPTIMA Compact is a dynamic motorised valve designed to combine dynamic balancing with full modulating control – regardless of the preset flow rate.
The valve can be preset to a desired maximum flow while simultaneously ensuring full modulating control. Even with different presettings, the full stroke length is maintained, enabling more precise control.
The integrated differential pressure controller ensures 100% modulating control. The valve automatically adjusts to the required flow. OPTIMA Compact combines multiple functions in a single solution, thereby simplifying the work of consultants and installers.
OPTIMA Compact is available in DN10-DN32 models.
The valve design reduces the time required to define the necessary components for a hydraulically balanced system, as the solution is an all-in-one motorised valve. There is no need to calculate valve authority, and the solution offers flexibility if the system is modified after the initial installation.
When installed at the terminals, no additional balancing valves are required in the distribution system with OPTIMA Compact. The total number of valves is minimised thanks to the 3-in-1 design, and commissioning time is reduced due to the dynamic regulation of the system. There are no requirements for minimum straight pipe lengths before or after the valve.
In operation, the valve ensures highly precise temperature control. Fewer actuator movements contribute to an extended service life.
OPTIMA Compact features a presetting function that does not affect the stroke length. Full stroke modulation is always maintained, regardless of the preset flow rate. The constant differential pressure across the modulating control unit guarantees full authority, and the dynamic control eliminates overflow irrespective of the pressure conditions within the system.
The valve can be supplied with a thermal actuator (on/off or 0-10 V, normally closed) or an electric actuator (0-10 V or 3-point control, normally closed).
The advanced valve design provides high flow at low differential pressure. The valve can be selected with different stroke lengths to ensure a suitable characteristic with the chosen actuator. Presetting is carried out with high precision via a stepless analogue scale.
Dynamic valves ensure the correct water flow, even when system pressure fluctuates. This provides balanced operation and simplifies commissioning.
The system is regulated dynamically – even under changing pressure conditions – eliminating the need for balancing valves in branch lines, main lines and supply lines. Commissioning time is minimised, the flow rate is easy to set, and there is full assurance that the specified flow matches the actual flow delivered.
