Mærsk Tower

The Maersk Tower is an extension of the University of Copenhagen’s Faculty of Health Sciences, an international center for research and teaching in health and lifestyle diseases. The building is a pioneer in energy-efficient construction, with state-of-the-art materials from inside to outside.

The ceilings DAMPA delivered for the project are DAMPA® Clip-in Custom Tiles with acoustic felt, where i.a. the edge strips are rolled out to special dimensions. One of the advantages of DAMPA® Clip-in Tiles is the hidden carrier system. In addition, the ceiling is a so-called positive pressure ceiling, which opens for innovative and energy-efficient ventilation without large hanging ventilation fittings. Thus, to the benefit of the calm visual expression, a completely homogeneous surface is achieved, combined with lots of hidden functionality.

Construction manager Henrik Christensen from N.H. Hansen says:

“Together with DAMPA, we found the most optimal way to install the ceilings, so that we could make a good plan for the installation process and in that way make it most efficient. In this connection, we have been able to benefit from the fact that the ceiling delivery has been carried out completely as it should. We haven’t had to wait for the lofts, not even those anymore special elements. This is of great importance when we stand with approx. 25 men who are completely dependent on their ceiling materials arriving at the agreed time and place.”
