Customised Acoustic Wall Panels

DAMPA has decades of experience in optimising indoor climates. DAMPA’s acoustic wall panels stand out for their robustness, recyclability, and function as an aesthetic design element.

DAMPA was originally named “DÆMPA” in 1951. This clearly indicates that acoustics and indoor climate optimisation have been central to DAMPA’s focus since the beginning. This remains true today, especially as businesses have significantly higher expectations for acoustic conditions:

Ten years ago, the acoustic environment was also a focus. However, today there are legal requirements in place, and there is a far greater awareness that good acoustics are crucial for indoor climate, employee well-being, and concentration levels. There is a need for something aesthetically pleasing on both ceilings and walls, but also for robust, absorptive, functional, and cohesive acoustic solutions that can optimise the acoustic environment.

This is why we have continued to develop solutions that do not simply involve taking a ceiling down and placing it on the walls, but instead, offer specially designed, recyclable, and easy-to-clean wall panels made of steel, such as our DAMPA® Silent Boards.

says Mogens Kjærgaard, Product Manager at DAMPA.

Flexible Wall Panels for Acoustic Regulation

DAMPA® Silent Board is a flexible, modular acoustic wall panel in absorption class A. It is a decorative acoustic solution, which is hung and mounted on the wall with a mineral wool membrane behind it. The wall panel can enhance and optimise the acoustics in all types of rooms, regardless of the function and desired aesthetic.

The solution meets all the key criteria of acoustics, such as absorption and reverberation time. It is made of perforated steel and, with its robust surface and perforation patterns, can be tailored to the architectural, design, and acoustic requirements of the specific room’s architecture.

Additionally, there is the whole circular aspect. The solutions have a lifespan of up to 50 years or more, can be reused, and are also easy to dismantle and remount

says Mogens Kjærgaard.

Form Follows Function

DAMPA’s acoustic wall panels are thus a natural extension of the company’s overall focus on flexible metal solutions that contribute to creating a good indoor climate and a pleasant working environment in businesses, hospitals, venues, and schools. In addition, there is a great deal of architectural design freedom regarding dimensions, colours, aesthetics, and usage—always following the principle of “Form Follows Function.” DAMPA® Silent Boards embrace this flexible design philosophy with their wide range of applications:

“DAMPA® Silent Board can be adapted to everything from private homes to corporate headquarters, commercial spaces, and institutions. The steel’s magnetic properties also make them suitable for use as notice boards. It is a very versatile product that primarily contributes to an optimised acoustic environment. We are happy to offer advice and guidance with our acoustic expertise,” concludes Mogens Kjærgaard.
