Design & Surfaces

  • Realise your design vision by utilizing the wide range of design & surface options

Raw & Natural Surfaces

All our products are crafted from high-quality Nordic steel or aluminium. By processing these raw materials, we offer a variety of natural surface finishes.

For instance, you can achieve a distinctive appearance with our anodised options, which include stunning mirror finishes and unique textures.

Alternatively, you can achieve a raw look with untreated raw steel or aluminium, or choose galvanised steel for a more durable finish.

Painted Surfaces

DAMPA offers a complete range of colours for our ceiling products. To offer you the widest range of colours, we use the RAL and NCS colour systems, so you can get the design that fits perfectly into your next project.

Our solutions are primarily for indoor use, but we can adapt solutions for outdoor use on request.

Please contact us to get more information about surfaces, for example, printed surfaces, structured lacquer or other effects.

Gloss and Light Reflection

The ceiling surfaces are painted in a matt finish with a 10 gloss level for wet-painted elements and 20 to 30 for powder-coated elements as standard.

Standard matte surfaces can produce a total light reflection level of up to 86%, depending on the colour, the perforation pattern, and the colour of the acoustic felt.

Special gloss levels or reflection-free (textura) surfaces can be supplied to order. If you have a sample of a special colour you would like to use in your project, please contact us for a colour match. We can also provide colour samples of our available colours.

Digital Print

With digital print, your design visions can come to life. All of our metal ceiling and wall solutions can be digitally printed, which means that you can create exactly the design you want, whether it’s in the form of images, patterns or logos – the only limit is your imagination.

With digital printing, you can therefore ensure good acoustics without compromising on your design vision.

Unique areas

Whether you want portraits, patterns or other playful elements in your project, it is possible to use digital print.

Among other things, you can combine DAMPA’s wall and ceiling solutions to create unique and inspiring surroundings with digital print. The acoustic solutions can thus become an integral part of the room’s unique design.

You can e.g. bring your rooms to life and ensure the feeling of stepping out into nature, by creating a room with a beautiful flower meadow on DAMPA® Silent Board, and a blue sky on the ceiling, or a forest environment with trees on the walls and treetops on the ceiling – everything together, while the acoustic properties ensure a pleasant working environment.

Wayfinding

Digital print can also be used to create innovative wayfinding, which can be included as an active element in the interior design.

By using DAMPA® Silent Board, as an alternative to traditional signage, you can
combine the acoustic properties with necessary wayfinding – all in a simple and
timeless design.

Inspiring design elements

Digital print can be advantageously used on DAMPA® Silent Board to improve the acoustics in existing buildings, while at the same time adding new inspiring elements to the interior design.

You can e.g. get digitally printed portraits, a playful pattern, interesting pictures from your company, or something completely different, which can be included as an active design element in the interior.

Digital printing can also be used for branding your company, through sharing the company’s history and development on the walls – or making the company’s values visible with images and text.

Perforation

Our metal ceilings are well known for their good acoustic properties as they can be delivered in both class A, B and C. This is achieved through perforation of the surface, acoustic felt, and possibly additional inlays.

In addition to the acoustic benefits, perforations play a central role in the design and appearance of the ceiling. The choice between several perforation sizes and perforation patterns combined with the acoustic felt creates an extra dimension in the appearance of the ceiling.

Perforation patterns

We offer a wide range of perforation options no matter if you are searching for a design statement or need to improve the acoustics.

Please note that there are different perforation options, depending on the product series and material.

Browse through the many perforation options in the Perforation Pattern brochure or contact us to hear more about the possibilities in your project.

Acoustic felt

We recommend using our acoustic felt to achieve optimal acoustics in the room. The acoustic felt is also a design parameter that gives a fine design expression.

The felt is glued to the back of the ceiling and wall elements and can thereby be seen through the perforations. The felt can be supplied in a wide variety of colours, ensuring you can create your unique expression by playing with perforation sizes and the colour of the acoustic felt.

Acoustic & mineral wool

By altering the range of the installation height of the suspended ceiling or increasing the thickness of the mineral wool inlay placed above the ceiling, you obtain control of the room acoustics and the reverberation time.

The right thickness of the inlay depends on the room usage and type. We offer a range from 12 mm integrated inlay up to 45 mm as an extra inlay layer for acoustic control.

By optimisation and control of room acoustics, we improve the indoor climate, ultimately improving the perceived well-being for users of the room.
