At DAMPA, we are committed to shaping a better future through greener initiatives. Metal has a long lifespan of more than 50 years, and it can be recycled without losing its strength and mechanical properties. Our mindset is: Reduce – Reuse – Recycle, which reflects on the longevity of our products and the materials we use.

We offer aluminium solutions consisting of 75% post-consumer aluminium. This allows us to offer ceiling solutions with a CO2 emission reduction of 69% compared to our standard material.

Greener Aluminium - Greater Impact

According to Mogens Kjærgaard, Head of R&D and Sustainability at DAMPA, recycled aluminium is a great initiative towards a greener future:

“We are constantly focusing on improving our work so we can minimize our carbon footprint. One of the solutions we are looking at is a “greener” aluminium. If you compare our current aluminium from European suppliers with, for example, aluminium from the Far East, our material emits 57% less CO2 per kg”

And he continues:

“Now we can also offer a ceiling solution produced in “Post-Consumer Aluminium” an even greener solution. By using post-consumer aluminium, which consists of 75% recycled material. The CO2 emission is further reduced by 69%. We look forward to starting production with the post-consumer aluminium and thus deliver even greener solutions to the building industry.”

Design without Compromise

Aluminium and steel are raw materials which can be heavy to extract. But once the materials are extracted, they can be recycled repeatedly with relatively few resources in comparison.

75% of all aluminium produced is still in use. Our aluminium supplier is Speira, who specializes in recycling aluminium without compromising the quality. Aluminium is a flexible material – in the sense that it can be tailored to match both aesthetic and functional purposes.
