Digital Print
With digital print, we can turn your design vision into reality, while ensuring strict compliance with maritime regulations. By offering digital print on our c-class ceilings, we have paved the way for endless design
options.
By implementing the ceiling as a design element, you can ensure a unique and inspiring experience for your passengers whenever they enter a new area. You can create exactly the design you want, whether you like abstract motives, patterns or figures.
You can obtain the feeling of walking into the woods by digital printing a variation of colourfull, fresh leaves on the ceiling. You can create the atmosphere of a cozy dining area with beautiful wooden ceilings. Or you can create an imitation of walking into a classic European Architectural building with realistic ceilings, or even illustrate the blue skies.
All of this is possible while benefiting from the good properties of the metal ceiling. With digital print the possibilities are endless – the ceiling is your playground.
Raw & Natural Materials
For example, you can achieve a distinctive appearance with our anodized options, which include stunning mirror finishes and other unique textures.
Alternatively, you can enhance a raw look with untreated raw steel or aluminium, or opt for galvanized steel for a more durable finish.
Painted Surfaces
You can obtain a simple or colourful ceiling design by utilizing the many colours. It is possible to choose from the many RAL and NCS colours.
It is also possible to send us a sample of a material with a specific colour you desire. Then we can analyze it to produce matching colour samples made on aluminium or steel, that you can use in your ceiling project. The matching colour sample will be forwarded to you for approval.
A range of metallic colours and colours with structures can be used to create quite extraordinary ceiling appearances, or simply to reduce the reflection of light in e.g. wheelhouses.
All colours can be combined with a variety of perforation patterns and acoustic felt. Acoustic felt can also be delivered in different colours – opening for even more creative solutions.
Gloss & Light Reflection
As standard all ceilings are produced in a in a matt finish, gloss 10. However, a non-reflective (Textura) colour surface has been developed for wheelhouses creating a surface with a minimum of reflection of light. Other gloss levels can be produced upon request.
Our standard colour has a total light reflection level of up to 86% depending on the colour, the perforation pattern and colour of the acoustic felt will enhance that.
Special surfaces satisfying other requirements of light reflection and diffusion are available upon request.
The degree of light fastness of the painted surfaces is around 7-8 on a scale of 0–8 in accordance with DIN 53231.
Laminated Surfaces
Achieve a unique ceiling design, while maintaining the ceilings’ fire rating by adding a DOBEL® F105 laminated surface to your ceiling solution.
DOBEL® F105 is a 150 µm thick PVC foil that is laminated to the ceiling surface.
Choose between more than 60 surface designs, whether you envision a wooden ceiling look, want to add structure or something third, there’s a solution for you.
Perforation
DAMPA ceilings have always been known for its acoustic performance. This is achieved through perforation of the surface, acoustic felt, and possibly additional inlays.
In addition to the acoustic benefits, perforations play a central role in the design and appearance of the ceiling. The choice between several perforation sizes and perforation patterns combined with the acoustic felt creates an extra dimension in the appearance of the ceiling.
Additional insulation can be added in order to improve the acoustic features, but also to obtain a certain fire classification.
